Excellent food, cider and service. Sat in front of a roaring log fire on a really cold day. Lovely.
My favorite pub of the moment, lots of good food choices with a good size serving and great quality. The beer choice is also very good with plenty of craft brews. Staff are really good too.
Good pub and good atmosphere.Pork belly is great But the latte wasn't brillaint and the sticky toffee pudding was a bit dense which was a shame a it looked good. It could be better.Overall a good pub and worth the visit.
Just been for lunch having walked the dog round the mere. Dog friendly with lovely open fires & a menu to suit most tastes. Food was very good as was the service & the atmosphere & warmth of the pub was perfect for a chilly afternoon. Would definitely recommend.
Always friendly welcome as you walk in. Friendly staff and very comfortable surroundings.But today 3rd Jan asked for a cheese and white or red onion sandwich on brown. Comfort food. I got cheese on brown with Branston pickle and cold chips. Hubby ham sandwich again with cold chips. The staff had commented they were quiet we can can tell. I sent my sandwich Back and I think I got the same cold chips. Where has the new chef disappeared too.
